Think Different.
Steve Jobs co-invented the Apple Computers with Steve Wozniak. He was born on February 24, 1955 in Los Altos California. While in high school he worked summers at Hewlitt-Packard he met his future business partner, Steve Wozniak. After high school he studied at Reed College in Oregon, but only attended for one semester and returned to California where he started working for Atari, an early starting manufacture of personal computers, to design computer games along with Wozniak. While at Atari, both Jobs and Wozniak designed a telephone blue box: which hacked into an operator’s dialing console and provided free phone calls.

The Apple Corporation was founded on April 1, 1979 after Jobs and Woxniak had successfully assembled fifty computers in Jobs parents’ garage and sold them to a local electronics store, the Byte Shop. It was named after Job’s favorite fruit and the Apple logo was a representation of the fruit with a bite taken out of it: bite and byte. The partnership lasted for about five years with Jobs controlling the business side of Apple and Wozniak the design until 1984 when the board of directors had a power struggle and Jobs left Apple.
After leaving Apple, Jobs founded NeXT, a high-end computer company. Then Apple bought NeXT in 1996 and Jobs returned to Apple as CEO in 1997. The returning to Apple led to the product development of the iMac, iPhone, iPod, iTunes and the iPad.
"I hope that throughout my life I’ll sort of have the thread of my life and the thread of Apple weave in and out of each other, like a tapestry."
Jobs also bought Pixar in 1986 thinking it could become a high-end graphic hardware developer, but it ended up making animated films. Jobs negotiated Pixar and Disney to collaborate on animated films like Toy Story and Nemo, in the end Disney bought Pixar from Jobs.
Steve Jobs had 342 patents either as the inventor or co-inventor before his death on October 5, 2011. He has changed not just the business world but also the computer, Hollywood, music, retailing and wireless phone industries.
