Bio- I found this site extremely useful for researching people. It was extremely detailed in the biographies. Although, the site didn't have a biography for all the people I researched for example Jay Gould. The only information for Gould was his birth date and date of death; they could expand more on him.
The Famous People- This was the better site for reading biographies of the businessmen when compared to bio. It gave the same information, but had more biographies. I couldn't find Gould on bio, but I was able to find his biography on this site. Also, this site was really easy to navigate and was easy on the eye.
History.com- All the information I found on this site was to the point and agreed with other sites that I had looked up for the same information. I really liked that the articles they wrote were straight and to the point, although sometimes I felt like they missed some of the main parts of the subject.
Think and Grow Rich- Was a great site when I was first beginning my research, it gave me a little blurb about the main business men in the gilded age which allowed me to make my decision who I wanted to focus on. The site was a little disorganized and hard to find what I was looking for, and could have gone into more detail in the writing.
Forbes- Had a lot of news articles pertaining to business. It was hard to find a specific news article that I was looking for, because I had to browse through hundreds of them even after narrowing down my search.
CNNMONEY- The content of this website was a little difficult to understand, but it was dealing with statistics. Other than that, the site was easy to navigate and simple to find what I was looking for.
Business Insider- This website was not only a great source for finding information, but also had a lot of media in it and quotes. It was like a collage of information from different source, which was unique and stood out.
Realbusiness- Although this wasn't an American website, it had data and articles about the American businesses and economy. The set up was very similar to Forbes, but a little easier to search for what I wanted.
Wall Street Journal- The articles I found on this site were detailed, and had many statistics in them. Everything was organized and easy to find, and they had little blurbs about the article was about which was nice to know what it was about before I opened it.
The Business Journals- This site was the easiest to navigate out of all the business websites. The layout of the website was organized and did not have many extras on it. They could have provided a little more background information into the articles and possibly more details.
